RTTNews - Tuesday, major statistical reports due for the day are UK consumer prices and German ZEW economic sentiment survey.

At 3.00am ET, Spanish industrial new orders data for March is due. In the meantime, the Hungarian statistical office is slated to release average gross wages for the month of March. Gross wages are forecast to grow 3.8% annually in March, faster than the 2.5% increase in February.

Thereafter, Italian trade balance is due from the statistical office ISTAT. The trade balance is expected to record a surplus of EUR 336 million compared to a deficit of EUR 837 million in February.

At 4.30am ET, the Office for National Statistics is set to release UK consumer prices. Annual inflation is seen at 2.4% in April, down from 2.9% in March. Month-on-month, consumer prices are forecast to climb 0.4%.

At the same time, decline in UK retail prices is seen at 1.1% in April, following a 0.4% fall in March. On a monthly basis, prices are predicted to rise 0.2%.

At 5.00am ET, a monthly survey from Germany's Centre for European Economic Research, or ZEW, is due. Economic sentiment is forecast to rise to 20 in May from 13 last month. Meanwhile, the current situation index is seen at minus 90 versus minus 91.6 in April.
