RTTNews - Wednesday, the Eurostat said in a report that Eurozone trade surplus stood at EUR 2.7 billion in April, widening from EUR 1.8 billion surplus in March, revised from EUR 0.4 billion surplus reported initially. Economists were looking for a deficit of EUR 1.5 billion.

After adjusting for seasonal variations, the trade balance narrowed to EUR 0.3 billion in April from EUR 1.8 billion in March. Economists had expected a deficit of EUR 1.5 billion.

In April, seasonally adjusted exports dropped 1.3% month-on-month, while imports declined 2.7%.
