USD Dollar (USD) -
The Dollar was at the lowest level versus the Euro in a year as a manufacturing gain and an unexpected drop in Initial Jobless Claims spurred investors to sell the Dollar and buy higher-yielding assets. Initial Jobless Claims came out at 545K vs. 555K forecast .NASDAQ and Dow Jones weakened by -0.3% and -0.08% respectively, Crude oil slipped by -0.1% and closed at 72.47$ a barrel, Gold (XAU) weakened by 0.6% closing at 1013.5$ an ounce. No economic data expected today.
EURO (EUR) -
The Euro continued to rise versus the Dollar as Trade balance came out better than expected at 6.8B vs. 1.2B forecast. Overall, EUR/USD traded with a low of 1.4688 and with a high of 1.4766. Today, Current Account is expected at -4.3B vs. -5.3B forecast.
