Liar, liar, pants on fire?

In February, actress Eva Mendes was allegedly overheard refusing to step through an airport security scanner and telling a TSA worker she was pregnant. Two weeks after rumors spread that the “Hitch" star was expecting a baby with her boyfriend, Ryan Gosling, Mendes appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show" (with no visible baby bump) to shoot down reports that she was with child.

“It’s so ridiculous,” Mendes, 40, said of the pregnancy rumor. “It all started because I didn’t want to go through the scanners of the airport, you know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy. They basically see you naked. And not only that, but there is a radiation aspect to it so I always opt out. I always ask for a personal patdown.”

Despite Mendes' denial, OK! Magazine is now reporting that she is seven months pregnant with Gosling’s child.

“She’s been ready for motherhood for a while now,” a source told the tabloid on Wednesday. “And to be sharing this experience with Ryan is a dream come true for her!”

While Gosling, 33, and Mendes, who became an item after co-starring in the 2012 film “The Place Beyond the Pines,” were rumored to be on the rocks in recent months, insiders claim the pregnancy steered the couple's relationship back on track.

“Ryan grew up without a dad, and he always said when he had kids, he’d be there no matter what,” a source said. “This is it for him.”

While Gosling may be dedicated to his unborn child, insiders say he isn’t enthralled about the idea of marrying his girlfriend of three years.

“Ryan doesn’t think they need to marry just because they are having a baby," an insider said. "But Eva believe it’s important to have their lives fully intertwined."
