Eva Mendes does not like the paparazzi snapping pictures of her dog, Hugo, or the fact that they know his name.

While promoting her upcoming film, “A Place Beyond the Pines,” the 39-year-old beauty admitted that she does not appreciate how much information the media knows about her personal life.

When asked about boyfriend Ryan Gosling, she immediately “shut down.” “That's where I start to shut down, because it gets into my personal territory that I don't feel comfortable talking about. So sorry," she told New York magazine.

She then went on to discuss her dog and his run-ins with the paparazzi.

"I'll go somewhere and they'll be like, 'Hey, Hugo,'" Mendes said to the publication. "And I'm like, 'How do you know Hugo's name? That's so creepy!'"

In Britain, publications blur the faces of children to maintain their privacy.

Mendes joked that American publications should blur out pets' faces to keep their privacy as well.

Meanwhile, Mendes’ boyfriend Gosling may be playing Oscar Pistorius in a biopic about the athlete whose life changed drastically on Valentine’s Day.

The paraplegic athlete, nicknamed “Blade Runner,” has been charged with premeditated murder in the death of his girlfriend, FHM model Reeva Steenkamp. Police have said that Pistorius shot her through a closed bathroom door; he has said that he mistook her for an intruder.

"You've got one of the world's most famous sportsmen under arrest and a beautiful young woman who meets a violent death," a source told The Sun. "Scripts began doing the rounds within days of the scandal breaking."

The source added, "Although Ryan has been saying publicly that he wants to take a break from acting to relax, executives will be falling over themselves to woo him once the scripts are finalized."

Gosling, 32, recently said in an Associated Press article that he has “lost perspective” and needs a timeout from acting.

"I think it's good for me to take a break and reassess why I'm doing it and how I'm doing it. I need a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does."
