Eva Mendes is one busy girl. Not only does she have 3 films coming out

this year, she also announced this week that she will be the new face

of Calvin Klein Advertising for the brands Fall ’09 campaigns! This is

not Eva’s first time out with Calvin Klein. In 2008, she modeled

topless in Calvin Klein Obsession ads, and after being deemed too sexy

for American tv, the ads were pulled. You can understand why the

fashion house would want her back though, she is sultry and glamour all

rolled into one beautiful package.

Seen here at the Costume Institute Gala where this year’s theme was

“Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion,” it is easy to see how designers

would love to have Eva Mendes as their muse. She just seems to embody

style. Walking the red carpet in a platinum-colored custom Calvin Klein

gown, Eva Mendes was accompanied by Francisco Costa, creative director

of Calvin Klein Collection. Her gown is truly elegant, and her Fred

Leighton jewelry really pulls her look together! Wearing a stunning

triple strand diamond and emerald long necklace, a large diamond and

emerald cuff bracelet, and diamond hoop earrings, Eva Mendes has such

an air of glamour, that you can see how she could inspire designers and

influence fashion.

Asked on the red carpet if Eva was wearing Calvin Klein under her gown,

the actress/model/muse quipped: “Of Course!” Eva Mendes will begin

shooting ads for Calvin Klein Jeans in a global campaign soon, as well

as continuing to appear in the Calvin Klein Underwear and Secret

Obsession fragrance ads.

Eva Mendes truly sparkled in her Fred Leighton jewelry and Calvin Klein

gown. Do you think she was the best dressed muse at the Costume

Institute Gala?
