Evelyn Lozada Pictures: Ochocinco Reality Show Canceled After Chad Johnson’s Wife Calls Cops On Husband [PHOTOS]

The wide receiver was released Sunday by the Miami Dolphins after he was arrested over the weekend for a domestic violence incident with his wife, Evelyn Johnson. The two were scheduled to have their reality show, "Ev and Ocho," premiere on VH1 on Sept. 3. The project has now been canceled.

Ochocinco and Evelyn were filmed over the past few months for the series. The show was scheduled to conclude with their wedding, which took place on July 4.

"Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series 'Ev and Ocho' from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it," VH1 told TMZ.

While the NFL star is well known, his wife, formerly Evelyn Lozada, is a celebrity in her own right. She gained notoriety after she appeared on the reality show "Basketball Wives." Johnson used to be romantically involved with former NBA star Antoine Walker.

Evelyn called the police on Saturday night after her husband allegedly head-butted her during an argument. According to TMZ, she ran to a neighbor's house to hide from Ochocinco. The fight was allegedly started when Evelyn found a receipt for condoms.
