Periodically in this column I will share some of my favorite business hotels around the world. Obviously, there are hundreds of great properties, but I will try to select a few which appeal for a particular reason. New Delhi: The Leela Palace Kempinski New Delhi
The Leela Palace New Delhi boasts 260 rooms in the exclusive Diplomatic Enclave. Recently opened, The Leela Palace New Delhi is conveniently located minutes from Safdarjung Airport and is in walking distance from the Asoka Conference Center. The Leela offers several suites and room upgrades to accommodate guests and is decorated in an opulent English baroque style with Indian influences. The hotel includes a variety of dining selections from five sleek in-house restaurants, including European and Japanese cuisine. Travelers can relax away their jetlag in the spa pool or gardens. Most importantly, Leela offers 8 plush boardrooms where companies can efficiently conduct multiple meetings at once. Large circular tables offer the perfect place for smaller meetings while the ballroom accommodates larger events. Dubai: Jumeirah Emirates Towers
In the heart of Dubai and just minutes from the Dubai Metro Station and pristine beaches, this iconic landmark is surrounded by the Dubai Museum and Emirates Golf Club. Jumeirah Group strives for 'simple elegance' which they have achieved in the stunning architecture of this hotel. The level of service lets the guests appreciate a simple and elegant lifestyle during their stay because of the training that many staff members have received through The Emirates Academy. The hotel brings entertainment to their customers housing an indoor mall and dining complex called The Boulevard. London: The Savoy London
With a beautiful view of the River Thames, The Eye and Big Ben, The Savoy London has a riverfront location that is in walking distance from The Savoy Theatre, Royal Opera House and Victoria Embankment Gardens. The Savoy is known to attract London's elite celebrities and politicians to its 286 guestrooms, 6 private function rooms, and 3 banqueting rooms all decorated in an English Edwardian and Art Deco style. The Savoy gracefully accommodates business conferences and meetings, as well as groups ranging from 60 to 800 guests with audio-visual equipment and natural light. Built in 1894, "The Grand" is a decorative tribute to Italian culture from the frescoed walls in the Ambassador Suite to the ravioli dinner at Vivendo, the hotel restaurant. The hotel cultivates an atmosphere of old world opulence with its Neo-Rococo décor and Renaissance paintings taking visitors back in time. This atmosphere is quite at odds with the hotel's very ecological commitment to sustainability. San Francisco: Clift Hotel
Situated in the heart of San Francisco's Union Square, the Clift Hotel tastefully fuses old-world hotel elegance with distinctly contemporary energy and glamour.
