Periodically in this column I will share some of my favorite business hotels around the world.  Obviously, there are hundreds of great properties, but I will try to select a few which appeal for a particular reason.  If you have suggestions for properties I might include in future columns, please comment below.

New Delhi: The Leela Palace Kempinski New Delhi

The Leela Palace New Delhi boasts 260 rooms in the exclusive Diplomatic Enclave. Recently opened, The Leela Palace New Delhi is conveniently located minutes from Safdarjung Airport and is in walking distance from the Asoka Conference Center. The Leela offers several suites and room upgrades to accommodate guests and is decorated in an opulent English baroque style with Indian influences. The hotel includes a variety of dining selections from five sleek in-house restaurants, including European and Japanese cuisine. Travelers can relax away their jetlag in the spa pool or gardens. Most importantly, Leela offers 8 plush boardrooms where companies can efficiently conduct multiple meetings at once. Large circular tables offer the perfect place for smaller meetings while the ballroom accommodates larger events. The Palace also provides a business package on their website that gives details of its extensive benefits and amenities.

Dubai: Jumeirah Emirates Towers

In the heart of Dubai and just minutes from the Dubai Metro Station and pristine beaches, this iconic landmark is surrounded by the Dubai Museum and Emirates Golf Club. Jumeirah Group strives for 'simple elegance' which they have achieved in the stunning architecture of this hotel. The level of service lets the guests appreciate a simple and elegant lifestyle during their stay because of the training that many staff members have received through The Emirates Academy.  The hotel brings entertainment to their customers housing an indoor mall and dining complex called The Boulevard.  The Emirates Towers is very hospitable for corporate needs, fully integrating five-star luxury into its large conference rooms and intimate boardrooms. With 400 spacious guest rooms, 15 world-class restaurants and bars, spa and health club, Jumeirah Emirates Towers offers a deluxe set of meeting and business facilities. There are 12 boardroom-style meeting rooms alongside a number of spectacular outdoor venues that are capable of hosting meetings, conferences, press launches and seminars.

London: The Savoy London

With a beautiful view of the River Thames, The Eye and Big Ben, The Savoy London has a riverfront location that is in walking distance from The Savoy Theatre, Royal Opera House and Victoria Embankment Gardens. The Savoy is known to attract London's elite celebrities and politicians to its 286 guestrooms, 6 private function rooms, and 3 banqueting rooms all decorated in an English Edwardian and Art Deco style. The Savoy gracefully accommodates business conferences and meetings, as well as groups ranging from 60 to 800 guests with audio-visual equipment and natural light. Guest services also offer à la Carte dining menus during meetings and conferences- a first for London hotels. You could also entertain clients with a cup of English Breakfast at Savoy Tea or The Savoy's five other restaurants.

Rome: The St. Regis Grand Hotel

Built in 1894, "The Grand" is a decorative tribute to Italian culture from the frescoed walls in the Ambassador Suite to the ravioli dinner at Vivendo, the hotel restaurant. The hotel cultivates an atmosphere of old world opulence with its Neo-Rococo décor and Renaissance paintings taking visitors back in time. This atmosphere is quite at odds with the hotel's very ecological commitment to sustainability. Offering a Green Meeting Package, the St. Regis Rome provides numerous environmentally friendly services and amenities to cater to your business needs. Any of the 10 meeting rooms provides an elegant backdrop for a variety of event styles and sizes. With up to 900 square meters of space, the event rooms can accommodate up to 500 people. Plan some time in between meetings to walk around the neighborhood because St. Regis is located within walking distance of the Palazzo Republica, as well as Gian Lorenzo Bernini's famous statue St. Teresa in Ecstasy housed in the Santa Maria Della Vittoria church.

San Francisco: Clift Hotel

Situated in the heart of San Francisco's Union Square, the Clift Hotel tastefully fuses old-world hotel elegance with distinctly contemporary energy and glamour. The Clift's 363 spacious guest rooms are elegantly decorated, as are the stylishly appointed Meeting Rooms. The Spanish Suite is a unique room to hold events because of the panoramic views it offers of San Francisco from the balcony. Glamorous décor continues to the Mezzanine level where dramatic white velvet curtains and etched Venetian mirrors are sure to impress guests during meetings and events. Conveniently the Clift offers a 24-hour Business Center for all business needs, including computer workstations with laser-jet printers and high-speed Internet access. The adjacent Business Lounge is a comfortable place to read the newspaper or catch up on the day's events on the high-tech plasma monitors. This hotel's great location and incredibly glamorous interiors make it a memorable destination for any visitor, but the helpful planning staff, variety of meeting rooms and central location make the Clift a great corporate location.
