“The Exorcist” Season 2 has found its mouse!

According to Deadline, “Lost” alum Zuleikha Robinson has just been cast as a series regular for the upcoming second season of the hit FOX Series. The actress will give life to the character of Mouse, an enigmatic woman with a personal grudge against the Catholic patriarchy. Based on this description from the network, it can be surmised that Mouse will not have a good relationship with Father Tomas (Alfonso Herrera) and Father Marcus (Ben Daniels).

Earlier this month, TV Line reported the casting of two newcomers in “The Exorcist” Season 2. John Cho will play the role of Andrew Kim, a former child psychologist who will now be running a foster home for at-risk children in a secluded private island off the coast of Seattle. When one of the children at the foster home becomes targeted by the evil forces, Andrew will reach out to Father Tomas and Father Marcus for help.

A few days after Cho’s casting was announced, “Deadpool” actress Brianna Hildebrand was also cast in the Season 2 of the “Exorcist” as Verity. The young girl is one of the foster kids at Cho’s facility. However, it is still unclear whether or not the she will be the one targeted by the demons.

Meanwhile, “The Exorcist” received a surprise renewal from the network in May, five months after Season 1 wrapped up. During its premiere season, “The Exorcist” only averaged a total of 1.9 million viewers and a 0.7 rating during its Friday night time slot. These figures were not impressive and were just on the same league as the ratings for “Rosewood,” “Scream Queens” and “Sleepy Hollow.” All three shows on FOX have already been canceled.

Prior to the renewal, executive producer Jeremy Slater told Deadline that Season 2 will focus on a different story, as well as a slew of new characters. This also means that Geena Davis and Alan Ruck from Season 1 will no longer be part of the show. But Herrera, Daniels and Kurt Egyiawan will appear in Season 2 and all future episodes, if there will be any.

“The Exorcist” Season 2 will premiere on FOX on Sept. 29 at 10 p.m. EST.
