Update 2:46 p.m. EST: Many Twitter users are reporting that Facebook app crashes may be related to a recent iOS app update.

Update 2:28 p.m. EST: Several Facebook users are now reporting issues with the mobile app crashing.

Original story below:

Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) suffered a partial outage Friday, with users finding that their individual timelines would not load. Around 10 a.m. EST, Facebook users began to flood websites such as Is It Down Right Now and Down Right Now to report problems accessing pages beyond Facebook’s homepage.

The breakdown seemed to be global as reports came in from Facebook users from New York City, San Diego, the Dominican Republic and elsewhere, according to several comments posted on Twitter with the hashtag #Facebook.

Users were still able to make posts, but when they attempted to view individual timelines, they were greeted with an error message:

“Sorry but this page didn’t load properly. Please try again.”

Despite the growing number of problems reported by Facebook users, their developer page as of 11:28 a.m. EST showed no issues reported by Facebook.

Since the news feed currently appears to be working despite individual user timeline problems, some Facebook users turned to posting about their Facebook problems — on Facebook.

The last Facebook outage occurred on Oct. 21, which also caused problems with timelines.
