The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia today indicated slowing factory activity in the philly region, as Philadelphia manufacturing index surprisingly fell to 8.5 in April, compared with 12.5 estimate the month ago and trailing analysts' median estimates of 12.0. Reading below zero indicates contractions, and vise-versa.
