China, a nation notorious for pirate music sites, knock-off Nike products and Louis Vuitton handbags, has recently received a spotlight for an entirely fake Apple Store.

An American blogger and her husband came across an genuine-looking Apple Store in the city of Kunming, more than 1,000 miles from the nearest genuine Apple stores in Beijing and Shanghai. The store has signs and products which look so real that even its employees thought they were working for Steve Jobs, reported The Daily Mail.

But notice, a real Apple Store would not put up an Apple Store sign.

The blogger BirdAbroad realized more factors that were not right - like the name tags of staffs missing their names, poorly made staircase, and poorly painted walls.

This was a total Apple store rip-off. A beautiful rip-off - a brilliant one - the best rip-off store we had ever seen. Even the salespeople genuinely thought they worked for Apple, said the blogger.

Customers at the fake Apple store berated staff and demanded refunds on Friday after the shop was revealed to be an elaborate fake, sparking a media and Internet frenzy, reported Reuters.

At the end of the blog post on Wednesday titled Are you listened, Steve Jobs? the blogger commented,

And the best part? A ten minute walk around the corner revealed not one, but TWO more rip-off Apple stores.
