“Arrow” (8 p.m. on The CW)

The season 2 premiere, “City of Heroes,” will find Diggle and Felicity searching for Oliver after his departure from Starling City. Convincing the hooded vigilante to return home, Oliver’s shocked to find everything in pieces:

-Isabel Rochev is preparing a “hostile takeover of Queen Consolidated.”

-Thea won’t visit an imprisoned Moira.

-Laurel is now working with the District Attorney’s Office “to take down the vigilante.”

-Roy is struggling in Arrow’s shoes.

“The Tomorrow People” (9 p.m. on The CW)

In the pilot episode of “The Tomorrow People” Stephen Jameson will start to question his sanity when he starts hearing voices and waking up in strange places. Finally deciding to listen to one of the voices, Stephen finds himself face-to-face with the Tomorrow People – John, Cara and Russell – a “genetically advanced race with the abilities of telekinesis, teleportation and telepathic communication.”

On a path to uncover the truth about his father’s “mysterious disappearance,” Stephen has a lot more to worry about when the Tomorrow People reveal that he’s being “hunted down by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra.”

“American Horror Story: Coven” (10 p.m. on FX)

“Bitchcraft,” the premiere of “American Horror Story: Coven,” will introduce Zoe, a young girl who discovers that she’s a descendant of Salem witches. Sent to Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies in New Orleans, Zoe will meet others who share her unique bloodline while learning how to protect herself from those that want to harm them. Meanwhile, Supreme witch Fiona returns to the Big Easy and is not only “harboring a secret agenda,” but is also “reigniting old rivalries with the Coven’s deadly enemies, the Voodoo.”
