"X-Men" star Famke Janssen was the victim of a bizarre burglary this past weekend.

The 47-year-old actress returned to her New York City apartment over the weekend to find her home broken-into and a children's book placed on a shelf by her bed, reports E! News.

The book, "The Lonely Doll," tells the story of a doll in search of play friends before two bears become her new companions. The bears vow to always remain by her side.

The only item that appeared to be out of place in the home was a "The Lonely Doll" children's book that the actresses found placed on a shelf near her bed. Doubleday

Police confirm that there was no sign of forced entry but it was unclear if any other items were taken from the Greenwich Village penthouse. The apartment wasn't ransacked, with all items appearing to be in their proper places.

Janssen, who currently stars in the Netflix series "Hemlock Grove," was the victim of a stalker in 2005. The fan repeatedly sent her letters and photos, leading the star to file a harassment report with police, reports the New York Daily News.

Police are now looking to speak with the same Bronx man in connection to this weekend's incident. According to the New York Daily News, police sources said the actress accused Carlos Echeverria, 50, of showing up at her building in SoHo as well as walking up to her on the street. But Echeverria wasn't arrested in connection to those claims.
