A third person is now in custody for the hazing death of Florida A&M University (FAMU) student Robert Champion.

Bryan Jones, 23, turned himself in to the police on Wednesday, according to CFNews13. Jones is one of 13 students charged for Champion's death last November. Two other men who were arrested in Tallahassee Wednesday have been identified as Caleb Jackson, 23, and Rikki Wills, 24.

Police said Champion, a drum major, was beaten to death on a bus after a football game.

A medical examiner ruled the death of the 26 year old as homicide after finding that he died of hemorrhagic shock from blunt force trauma received on Nov. 19.

Officials said 11 of the 13 people charged will face felony hazing charges. Others will face misdemeanors.

Florida State Attorney Lawson Lamar said his office didn't seek a heavier charge such as murder because Champion death was from an aggregation of things and that they can prove participation in hazing.

If the students are convicted for felony hazing they could face up to six years in prison, accoridng to CBS.

Champion's mother, Pam, told CNN's AC360 that the hazing is a very light term.

I don't look at it as being a form of bullying, she said. Hazing is a very brutal assault ... against another person.
