Webb Simpson put together a fantastic final round to win the U.S. Open on Sunday, but it is a video bomb by a man dressed in a rooster costume that is dominating the headlines a day later.

During the trophy ceremony after Simpson won his first major, a man dressed in a rooster costume video bombed the ceremony and began crowing in front of the camera. The man dressed in a British rooster hat only got out a few bird calls before he was yanked off the course by USGA chief Mike Davis.

After the incident, Simpson admitted he was a bit confused as to what was happening.

No, he just?? he appeared in front of me and I didn't know if it was part of the deal (laughter) I never won a Major, I never know what to expect, Simpson told reporters about the incident. And I saw some fury in Mike's eyes. But I didn't really know what to do. I just kind of laughed.

Simpson initially responded during a live broadcast with Bob Costas that he hoped the intruder enjoyed jail.

The uninvited rooster man might have somewhat ruined what should have been a great moment for Simpson, but gave viewers the greatest video bomb ever.

Simpson finished the U.S. Open at the Olympic Club with a 1-over 281 that narrowly edged Graeme McDowell.
