Filmmakers behind the seventh installment of “Fast & Furious” are apparently looking to add a little more star power to the blockbuster saga. Universal Pictures announced Wednesday that UFC champion Ronda Rousey is in talks to star among the original stars in “Fast and Furious 7.” Rapper and BET’s “Park 106” host, Bow Wow, is also dropping hints that he may be starring in the action flick.

In a statement to The Wrap Wednesday, Universal Studios confirmed that Rousey is officially in negotitions to star in the upcoming film. Reportedly the 26-year-old female athlete will be featured in a supporting role that will “showcase her fighting skills.” If signed, this will be Rousey’s second stint on the silver screen as she is currently set to begin filming her cameo in “The Expendables 3” alongside __ and __.

Another famous face, “Lottery Ticket” star, rapper Bow Wow (real name: Shad Gregory Moss) may also be making an appearance. The 26-year-old commented on rumors that he had signed a contract with the studio on his Twitter account Wednesday saying, “If and when I do, I’m sure the media will blast it out.”

While “Fast and Furious 7” is rumored to be adding new faces, longtime stars of the hit saga are set to return to the big screen. Original stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson will all reportedly reprise their roles, among others. A bonus scene at the end of the latest film, “Fast & Furious 6,” hinted that “Safe” actor and newcomer Jason Statham, 45, will also play a role.

“Fast and Furious 7” is set to begin filming in Atlanta in Sep. and is scheduled to be released July 2014. James Wan, known for his work on horror films such as “Saw” and “Insidious,” will be directing the film which will reportedly take place in Los Angeles, the stories’ original setting. According to BoxOfficeMojo.com “Fast & Furious 6” garnered over $238 million at the box office and opened to over $97.3 million in ticket sales opening weekend in May, the highest grossing opening for the long running film series.
