“Fifty Shades Darker” is the anticipated sequel to the erotic movie “Fifty Shades of Grey.” Though the sequel is set to release in 2017, speculation about the actors playing new characters in the movie has already begun. The latest speculation is that "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" actor Henry Cavill will play the role of Anastasia Steele's boss, Jack Hyde.

“Fifty Shades Darker” will revolve around a love triangle between Cavill's character Hyde, Anastasia and Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan), writes The Stir. The movie will begin shortly after Ana breaks up with Christian at the end of the first film. In the sequel, she takes a job at a small publishing company and later reconciles with Christian.

For those of you who have not read the trilogy by author E.L. James, Hyde is Ana's boss who is sexually attracted to her. However, Christian uses his millions to buy Hyde's publishing company and becomes his boss. He warns Hyde to stay away from Ana. Hyde feels jilted and, after losing his job, promises to seek revenge on the couple. Rumors about Cavill's casting have not been officially confirmed.

“Fifty Shades Darker” will also introduce another character: Elena Lincoln, Christian’s former dominatrix. Actress Charlize Theron is rumored to play Elena. Meanwhile, model Cara Delevingne is speculated to play the role of Christian’s former submissive, Leila Williams. Universal has not made any official announcements as of yet.

Ana's best friend, Katherine ‘Kate’ Kavanagh (Eloise Mumford), will also return. "In the second film, she finds out the exact nature of Ana and Christian's relationship, and that's a huge moment for her and for her friends...obviously, Kate is a very protective friend and a very passionate and fiery person," Mumford told Glamour magazine. “Fifty Shades Darker” premieres Feb. 10, 2017.
