There’s only so much simulating of sex one can handle and “Fifty Shades Darker” star Dakota Johnson has reached her limit. After filming hours of sex scenes with co-star Jamie Dornan, Johnson is ready to take a break from the steamy Red Room, she told Interview magazine Tuesday.

She first clarified something about the scenes with Dornan, who is married. “Well, we’re not having actual sex,” Johnson, 26, said. “But I’ve been simulating sex for seven hours straight right now, and I’m over it.”

Even though Johnson has a growing list of credits — she most recently appeared in the February comedy “How to Be Single” — the star isn’t confident in her acting. “I still feel like I don’t know what I’m doing,” Johnson said. “Like, I’m unsure of what my life will be like. I mean, I have such an obsession with making movies that I probably will always do that. But sometimes my life can feel so suffocating, and then it can feel so massive, like I don’t have a handle on it at all, and I don’t know where it’s going or what I’m going to do.”

Leaked pictures of the “Fifty Shades” sequel hint it might deviate from E.L. James’ novel. Johnson, who plays Anastasia Steele, and Dornan, who plays Christian Grey, are pictured with silver bands on their left ring fingers. In the trilogy, the lovers don’t get married until the third book. They get engaged at the end of the second novel when Christian proposes to Ana at the boathouse. The third book opens with them on their honeymoon.

“Fifty Shades Darker” is slated to hit theaters nationwide Feb. 10, 2017.
