A 35-year old Florida man has been charged with felony child abuse after viciously beating a 16-year old boy in a video reminiscent of the 1999 movie Fight Club.

Gary Johnson, a 6-foot-5, 220 pounds ER technician, is seen badly beating a Florida teenager in a disturbing video obtained by CNN.

The scene sets up with the unidentified victim set to fight Johnson's son after engaging in an on-going dispute, according to Palm Bay police Capt. John Resh.

Johnson agreed to referee the fight between the two teenagers, but after his son gave up in the fight, he began pummeling the victim.

The video shows Johnson repeatedly punching and kicking the teenager in the face, while a woman in the background can briefly be heard screaming for him to stop.

Bizarrely enough, at the end of the fight Johnson goes to shake the victim's hand and gives him a half-hug.

Johnson is charged with felony counts of aggravated battery and child abuse, as well as misdemeanors counts of filing a false police report, affray, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
