Apart from commemorating the release of “Final Fantasy XV” yesterday, Square Enix also did some teasing on what’s to come next to the game. Based on what the company disclosed, it seems fans are getting what they’ve been asking for: an episode for Luna.

Gematsu has summarized what Square Enix discussed during its Active Time Report and the publisher appears to have already prepared a future content roadmap for the game. For the remaining month of 2017, the company will be deciding on the new content that will be introduced to “Final Fantasy XV” starting next year.

Square Enix does not have the exact release dates for its new content yet, but game director Hajime Tabata has already confirmed that three “Episode” add-ons are launching in 2018. There’s also confirmation that the first episode among the three will focus on Ardyn, and this episode is said to have a proper depiction of the world’s storyline. The latter is something that fans have been asking for due to the insufficient backbone of the story of Eos when the game was launched.

Though it wasn’t mentioned that another episode would be for Luna, the probability is already high considering that Tabata himself is well aware that fans are asking for this episode. Perhaps fans would get the confirmation early next year.

Tabata maintained that they plan to release additional content only when there is already a state of absolute sufficiency. Hence, they are not just going to release new content for the sake of releasing one, but they intend to roll out add-ons once they are ready. This is because Tabata wants to meet the users’ expectations and reignite the interest of players who may have cleared the game or lost interest along the way by creating developments within the game.

For now, Square Enix is gearing up for the releasing of the “Episode Ignis” DLC that’s scheduled for launch on Dec. 13. Kotaku has learned that before this new downloadable content arrives, the publisher is to implement a new feature that would allow players to assume the role of one of Noctis’s pals. When this feature gets implemented, players should access an overlay menu to switch to Gladiolus, Ignis or Prompto.

Thus far, two DLC episodes have been released for “Final Fantasy XV.” Square Enix has also added a steady stream of new content since the game was launched last year. For instance, the game’s multiplayer expansion, Comrades, was released on Xbox One and PS4 earlier this month.

Given Tabata’s revelations, it’s clear that Square Enix is going all out next year. Producer Shinji Hashimoto even said that 2018 will be a “big” year for the franchise. This is already expected, knowing that “Final Fantasy XV” is finally coming to the PC platform early next year, as pointed out by GameSpot.

Square Enix said it will reveal more details about its future content roadmap by the end of the year, so that’s something fans should look forward to.
