FINAL SCORE: Walker Scores 33 Points, Connecticut Beats Cincinnati
Kemba Walker continues to amaze.
The guard scored 33 points in leading Connecticut over Cincinnati, 69-58, in Washington, D.C.
Walker hit an array of shots, while appearing to be hobbled. He also converted all 14 of his free-throw attempts.
Walker scored seven points in a row to hold off a Cincinnati run after halftime.
The Huskies had trouble putting the Bearcats away, but pulled away in the last 10 minutes. Connecticut out-rebounded Cincinnati 34-22.
Rashad Bishop scored 22 in the losing effort, while Yancy Gates contributed 11 points.
Connecticut will play San Diego State in the Sweet 16 in Anaheim.
