RTTNews - Wednesday, the Statistics Finland said in a report that the consumer confidence stood at 7.2 in May, up from 1 in April. The consumer confidence indicator was minus 1.5 in March.

Confidence in all four components of the consumer confidence indicator improved in May from the previous month.

The indicator measuring Finland's economic situation in 12 months time increased to 9.5 from minus 2.7 in April. The indicator measuring the country's unemployment situation moved up to minus 33.2 from minus 42 in the preceding month.

The indicator measuring the household's saving possibility in the next 12 months rose to 46.8 from 45.3 in April. At the same time, the indicator measuring consumers' own economic situation in 12 months time increased to 5.6 from 3.4 in April.
