Tuesday, the Statistics Finland said in a report that wages and salaries grew 3.1% year-on-year in the December to February period, after rising 8.6% in the corresponding period in the previous year.

During the period, wages and salaries growth was the highest in health and social work at 11%, followed by a 7.2% rise in the private educational services sector.

At the same time, wages and salaries grew the least by 1.9% in financial intermediation. In the manufacturing sector, wages fell 1.5%.
