Thursday, the Statistics Finland said in a preliminary report that the gross domestic product or GDP declined a seasonally adjusted 0.4% month-on-month in February, after falling 2.6% in January, revised from 1.8% drop reported initially.

On an annual basis, the GDP decreased a working day adjusted 11% in February, marking the same pace as in January, revised from 9.8% fall estimated initially. A year ago, the GDP was up 4%.

According to the original series, the GDP was down 11.3% year-on-year in February compared to a revised 12.7% decline in January.
