RTTNews - Monday, the Statistics Finland said in a report that the manufacturing turnover declined 24% year-over-year in the January to March period, compared with a 20.6% fall in the December to February period.

At the same time,domestic sales decreased 20.9% and export turnover dropped 28.3%.

Turnover in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply grew 13.8% annually in the January to March period, while the food industry turnover increased 0.2%. However, turnover in chemical industry declined 29.8%.

Separately, the statistical office said that the turnover in service industries dropped 4% year-on-year in the January to March period, compared to the 0.9% fall in the December to February period.

Meanwhile, the turnover in construction enterprises dipped 119% on an annual basis in the January to March period.
