Tuesday, the Statistics Finland announced that the jobless rate stood at 7.6% in February, up from 7% recorded in the previous month. A year ago, the jobless rate was 6.4%.
The number of unemployed persons totaled 200,000 in February, larger than the 167,000 persons last year.
At the same time, the number of employed totaled 2.44 million, compared with 2.46 million in the previous year.
Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate stood at 65.8% in February, up from 65.7% recorded in the previous month. A year ago, the labor force participation rate was 65.9%.
