RTTNews - Finland's manufacturing confidence stood at minus 33 in June, unchanged from May, the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK said Monday.

Order books continued to remain at extremely low levels, and production volumes decreased. Stock of finished goods were above average, and capacity was not fully utilized due to weak demand.

In the construction sector, the confidence indicator declined again in June, after rising in May. The indicator stood at minus 60, higher than its long-term average value of minus 4. Orders books were lower than normal, and the personnel are expected to decrease in the coming months.

The service sectors' confidence indicator improved slightly to minus 30 from minus 32 in the preceding month. Sales continued to decline, and the expectations remain weak.

Meanwhile, the retail trade confidence indicator worsened to minus 19 in June from minus 14 in the previous month. Volume of sales were lower, and expectations are weak for the summer months. Stocks remained below normal levels.
