RTTNews - Thursday, a report from Statistics Finland said new motor vehicles registered totaled 17,480 in May, representing a decrease of 40.9% from the same month in the previous year.

The number of new passenger cars registered declined 49.2% from last year to 7,227. New diesel-driven passenger cars accounted for 44.1% of total cars first registered.

In the January to May period, the number of motor vehicles first registered fell 35.7% year-on-year to 83,507. The number of passenger cars first registered totaled 44,151, which is a decline of 41.8% from the previous year. Toyota, Volkswagen and Ford were the most common cars first registered in this period.
