Wednesday, the Statistics Finland said in a report that the retail trade sales declined 5.8% in February from the previous year, reflecting a 1.8% fall in the daily consumer goods trade.

At the same time, wholesale trade dropped 13.8%, and motor vehicle sales were down 32.1%. Total trade declined 14.4%.

In the January-February period, retail trade sales fell 2.2% from the corresponding period in the previous year. During this period, wholesale trade sales declined 16.5%, while motor vehicle trade sales dropped 31.9%. Total trade was down 15.4%.
