RTTNews - Wednesday, the Statistics Finland said retail sales dropped 4.8% year-on-year in May, following a 0.9% fall in the preceding month. Daily consumer goods trade declined 1.5%.

At the same time, wholesale trade dropped 25%, and motor vehicle sales fell 41.9%. Total trade was down 22.1% in May.

In the first five months of the year, retail sales slipped 2.6% compared to the same period last year. However, daily consumer goods trade rose 2.4%.
