RTTNews - Wednesday, the Statistics Finland said in a report that the gross domestic product dropped a working day adjusted 9.2% year-on-year in April, after falling a revised 8.2% in March.

During the month, output of the primary sector rose 1.7% annually, reversing a 6.6% drop in March. Secondary output fell 16.5% compared to a 15.6% decline in the preceding month. Services output was down 6%, following a 4.4% fall in March. Primary production refers to agriculture, forestry and fishery, while secondary output includes manufacturing and construction.

On the basis of the original series, the GDP declined 11.2% in April compared to a revised 5.6% fall in the preceding month.

Month-on-month, the GDP was down a seasonally adjusted 0.6% in April after falling 0.9% in the previous month.
