RTTNews - Wednesday, the Statistics Finland said in a report that the industrial output dropped a working day adjusted 21% year-on-year in April, after a 16.6% fall in March.

During the month, industrial output decreased the most in the metal industry, excluding the manufacture of electrical and electronic products, by 32.4%. This was followed by a 30.6% drop in forest industry output. Most other industries showed a decline in output, however, the food industry output increased 0.5%.

The capacity utilization rate in manufacturing stood at 66.7% in April, down 17.7 percentage points from the previous year.

In the January to April period, industrial output declined nearly 21% from the corresponding period in the previous year.
