Thursday, a report by Statistics Finland said the number of new motor vehicles registered in April decreased 43.3% year-on-year to 18,139.

The number of new passenger cars registered totaled 7,435 in April, representing a decline of 52.1% from the previous year. Of the total passenger cars, 42.8% were diesel driven.

In the January-April period, the number of new motor vehicles registered fell 34.2% to 65,995 from the corresponding period in the previous year.
