Monday, the Statistics Finland announced that the number of new motor vehicle registrations declined 10% year-over-year to 18,709 in March. Meanwhile, new automobile registrations totaled 12,655.

In March, the number of new passenger cars registration dropped 14.7% to 10,724. About 45.2% of the new passenger cars registered was diesel-driven.

For the January to March period, new motor vehicle registrations decreased 29.9% compared to the same period of the previous year. During this period, new vehicle registration totaled 47,837, while the number of passenger cars first registered stood at 29,462.
