Thursday, the Statistics Finland announced that the number of nights spent by foreign tourists at accomedation establishment declined 15% year-over-year to 360,000 in March. At the same time, overnight stays by domestic tourists dropped 5% to 1.1 million.

The total number of overnight stays decreased 8% on an annual basis to 1.5 million in March.

Tourism arrivals from all the most important inbound tourism countries decreased when compared to the previous year, the statistical office said.
