Fiona Apple Tour 2012: Dates, Album Release and More

Fiona Apple is gearing up for a summer 2012 tour. The string of recently released North American tour dates is in support of the singer's upcoming album, The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter's tour kicks off on June 19 in Ithaca, NY, and closes out six weeks later with a performance at the Hollywood Palladium.

Included in the list of dates is a rare festival appearance at the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City's Randall's Island, scheduled for June 24.

Apple's new album is her first since 2005's Extraordinary Machine. The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do is set to drop June 19 via Epic Records.

The album's lead single, Every Single Night, will be available on iTunes later this month.
