San Diego Padres' first baseman Adrian Gonzalez could be traded to the Boston Red Sox, according to a report by Fox Sports.com on Wednesday citing Major League sources.
The Padres are asking a high price for Gonzalez which may diminish the chances for the trade, according to the report.
Jed [Padres' new general Manager] has been asking for a ton, the source said, according to Fox Sports.
Gonzalez, 27 hit .277 with 40 homers and 99 RBIs for the Padres last season.
