First Lady Michelle Obama is now on Twitter. Fans said hello to mo as she joined one of the Internet's biggest social networking sites on Thursday.

So far only three messages have been put out. The first was - We're excited today to launch @michelleobama as a new way for you to connect with First Lady Michelle Obama and the President's campaign.

The second tweet tells us the account will be managed by the Obama Campaign, indicating the account will probably be used as a tool in the re-election campaign of U.S. President Barack Obama.

After a few hours, the First Lady herself tweeted: Hi, everyone, and thanks for the warm welcome. Look forward to staying in touch with you here. mo, she said in a tweet authenticated by the use of her initials mo.

By the end of the day, her last tweet said: Here's something dear to my heart: the MLK Day of Service. Will you join me to serve your community on Monday? http://OFA. BO/NTYQkR -mo.

The President, who is also on Twitter - @BarackObama - has more than 11 million followers and he follows more than 683,000 accounts.

The First Lady got off to a strong start, notching 225,398 followers (and counting) on her very first day.
