Michelle Williams brings Marilyn Monroe to life in the upcoming film, My Week with Marilyn.

The first official trailer for the Weinstein Company film was released on Thursday.

Starring Williams, Kenneth Branagh, Emma Watson, Dominic Cooper and Judi Dench, My Week with Marliyn tells the real-life story of the relationship between Monroe and a film set assistant Colin Clark.

The two spend one week together during the production The Prince and the Showgirl, which was released in 1957.

Monroe, the idolized sex symbol and actress who appeared in films such as Some Like It Hot, Bus Stop and How to Marry a Millionaire, would die from a drug overdose just five years later.

Clark published two accounts of his experience, The Prince, The Showgirl and Me and My Week with Marilyn, which were adapted into a screenplay by British writer Adrian Hodges.

In the film, Williams, 31, nails every Monroe detail, down to the accent, hair and beauty mark.

As soon as I finished the script, I knew I wanted to do it, and then I spent six months trying to talk myself out of it, Williams told Vogue in September.

But I always knew that I never really had a choice . . . I've started to believe that you get the piece of material that you were ready for, she added.

My Week with Marilyn arrives in theaters on Nov. 4.
