Khloe Kardashian has apparently released the first photo of sister Kourtney's baby, Penelope Scotland Disick. But is the picture really of little Penelope?

Kourtney Kardashian gave birth to her and Scott Disick's second child early Sunday morning in Los Angeles, but there no official photographs of their baby seem to have been released yet.

On Monday, however, an image emerged on Twitter that reportedly is the first photo of little Penelope Scotland Disick, swaddled in light blue and wearing a knit white baby cap.

The photo has been tweeted out not only as a lone picture, but also in a separate image that depicts the baby pic on what appears to be an Instagram app on a smartphone, with Khloe Kardashian's Instagram username, khloekardashianodomxo, at the top.

At 2:01 a.m. Monday morning, Kourtney's most famous sister, the inimitable Kim Kardashian, tweeted the message welcome to the world Penelope Scotland Disick!!!! The tweet was accompanied by a bit.ly link to her blog, which surely made many of her 15 million Twitter followers excited to see their first glimpse of the girl, but instead only included a photo of Kourtney, 33, and Scott Disick, 29, accompanied by the following statement:

Welcome to the world, Penelope Scotland Disick! Kourtney gave birth to a beautiful baby daughter on Sunday and the whole family is so thrilled to finally meet her! She is absolutely perfect! I am so excited to be an aunt again and can't wait to spoil little Penelope. I know Mason is going to be the best big brother in the whole world. Congratulations Kourtney and Scott. Xo

So it is unlikely that for now the world will be able to determine whether or not the Penelope Scotland Disick photo is real or not. Either way, Kourtney Kardashian is extremely excited to welcome her second child (she and Disick gave birth to their son Mason two years ago), according to statements she gave to E! News:

Scott and I are overjoyed to welcome our precious angel Penelope Scotland Disick into our lives. We are forever blessed. Mommy and baby are resting comfortably, Kourtney Kardashian told E! News

Her father, Kris Jenner, also weighed in to E! News with his own comments on the newest member of the Kardashian clan:

[Kourtney] had an easy delivery ... [Penelope] is so cute. She looks just like Mason. She's so beautiful. We are so happy.

Penelope Scotland Disick was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. and weighed at 7 pounds and 14 ounces at birth, E! reported. The couple, who are co-stars on E! reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, announced that Kourtney was pregnant in November, and told the world that they were having a girl in February, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The L.A. Times reported that it is unknown whether or not the natural birth of Penelope Scotland Disick will be shown on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
