Captain Cold
Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller, pictured) will be back to cause more trouble in episode 3 of "The Flash" Season 2. The CW

In episode 2 of "The Flash" Season 2, Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) and Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten) became part of the team -- Garrick is now working with S.T.A.R. Labs, while Patty has joined Joe's (Jesse Martin) meta-human task force. The pair could not have arrived at a better time because, in episode 3, "Family of Rogues," Barry will need all the help he can get when he comes up against an old enemy from the past.

The synopsis for the new episode reveals that Leonard Snart, aka Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), will be back after being kidnapped and forming an uneasy alliance with his sister, Lisa Snart (Peyton List). However, Barry will feel a bit double-crossed when he finds out Snart is also working with his father, Lewis Snart, on a heist. Barry and Captain Cold had an agreement. Barry would leave Captain Cold alone, in exchange for helping with the meta-human prison exchange in Season 1, as long Captain Cold did not kill anyone.

However, the promo for the episode reveals that Captain Cold's father, whom Cisco (Carlos Valdes) is calling Colonel Cold, does not share that murder-free philosophy. He will be happy to kill to carry out his crimes and that will make Captain Cold and Barry's arrangement void. In fact, one scene from the promo shows Captain Cold blasting the Flash with his cold gun. Would Snart be willing to kill Barry?

Will Captain Cold kill again? Plus, there are quite a few cliffhangers from episode 2 for the show to address, including the multiverse reappearance of Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanaugh) and Dr. Stein's (Victor Garber) sudden feinting spell. Fans will have to wait to find out what happens. "The Flash" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on the CW.
