Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin
“The Flash” Season 3 star Danielle Panabaker revealed whether she thinks Caitlin blames Barry (Grant Gustin) for her newly discovered metahuman abilities. The CW

Caitlin began developing the same powers as her Earth-2 doppelgänger Killer Frost right after Barry (Grant Gustin) created Flashpoint and tried restoring the original timeline only to end up making a new reality. So does Caitlin blame the Scarlet Speedster for all the changes that are currrently happening to her?

“I thought about that, and I asked myself that question,” Panabaker told Nerdist when a group of reporters recently visited the set of “The Flash.” “The way I sort of see it is, this version of Caitlin Snow, this is her life. She doesn’t remember Flashpoint, and she doesn’t remember that other timeline. So she doesn’t know anything else. So I don’t really think she’s mad at Barry.”

In a separate interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 29-year-old actress further explained why she thinks Caitlin is not angry at Barry. “Learning about Flashpoint and that Barry did run back in time, that’s new information [for Caitlin], but that’s not the foundation of who she is and her life experience,” Panabaker said.

Although Caitlin is not harboring any ill feeling toward Barry, it seems that the S.T.A.R. Labs’ resident bio-engineer will continue to hide her powers from him until she understands it fully.

“I think that conversation would be a little bit difficult,” Panabaker said. “Like, ‘Hey guys, I don’t have any answers, but here you go.’ Especially for Caitlin as a scientist and someone who is focused on always having the answers, she wants to get this figured out for herself before she comes to the team.”

As Caitlin continues to keep her powers a secret, Panabaker said that fans are going to see her character figure out different ways to cope with her metahuman abilities. “As maybe you remember [in] Season 1with Barry, it took him a minute to figure out his powers. ‘Oh, I kept passing out because I don’t eat enough.’ Things like that,” the actress said.

Though the synopsis and trailer for Season 3, episode 6 suggest that the next installment is going to be Wally-centric (Keiynan Lonsdale), Panabaker told Nerdist that episode 6 as well as 7 “are [also] a little bit more Caitlin-heavy.”

“The Flash” Season 3, episode 6, entitled “Shade,” airs Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW. Check out the synopsis for the episode below:
