Fans are going to meet Gorilla Grodd’s nemesis in Season 3 of “The Flash.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed during the Television Critics Association’s press tour on Sunday, Jan. 8 that DC Comics character Solovar will appear in Season 3’s two-part Grodd special, which are episodes 13 and 14.

Created by John Broome and Carmine Infantino in 1959, Solovar is a longstanding ally of The Flash in the comics. He is the leader of Gorilla City and frequently battles with Grodd, who wants to overthrow him and rule the city himself.

Grodd was last seen in Season 2, episode 7, titled “Gorilla Warfare,” in which he kidnapped Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and forced her to create more super-intelligent apes like him. After Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Earth-2 Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) saved Caitlin from Grodd, Barry (Grant Gustin), Grodd successfully transported the evil ape to a jungle in Earth-2, which is most likely to be revealed as Gorilla City.

“One of the [episodes] will take place in Gorilla City and one of them will take place on Earth-1,” Kreisberg said of the upcoming two-parter.

Solovar will be voiced by Keith David, who is best known for his co-starring role as Childs alongside Kurt Russell in the 1982 sci-fi horror film “The Thing.” His other acting credits include “Crash,” “There’s Something About Mary,” “Barbershop” and “Men at Work.”

Grodd, meanwhile, will be voiced by returning actor David Sobolov, who confirmed Grodd’s return to the show on Twitter last month.

An all new-episode of “The Flash” airs on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW. Check out the synopsis for Season 3, episode 10, titled “Borrowing Problems from the Future,” below:

“Barry is tormented by his vision of the future where Iris (Candice Patton) is murdered by Savitar. Confused about Barry’s hesitation to stop Plunder, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) decides to step in as Kid Flash. Caitlin offers Julian (Tom Felton) a job.”
