Julian (Tom Felton) is excited to set foot in Earth-2 Gorilla City.

In the extended trailer for Season 3, episode 13 of “The Flash,” Barry (Grant Gustin) tells Julian that they are going on a rescue mission to Earth-2 to save Harry (Tom Cavanagh), who has been abducted by a sentient ape named Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov) in Gorilla City. For some reason, Julian thinks that Earth-2 is Planet of the Apes, and for that alone he decides to join Barry, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) on their journey to the parallel Earth.

On the day of their departure, the team is surprised when Julian shows up at S.T.A.R. Labs in full Indiana Jones-ish garb. “[It’s my] chance to visit another dimension. Wasn’t gonna miss that, was I?” Julian says.

When Caitlin reminds Julian that they’re not going sightseeing, the former archaeologist surprises the group once again by showing that he’s got a gun at hand to protect himself and his teammates from possible threats during their inter-dimensional travel.

It seems, however, that Julian’s gun doesn’t help much as they immediately fall into a trap and are brought to Grodd. According to the synopsis for the episode, Grodd needs Team Flash’s help to stop Solovar (voiced by Keith David) — the leader of Gorilla City — from invading Earth-1.

Meanwhile, Jesse (Violett Beane) — who delivered the news of Harry’s abduction to the team — stays on Earth-1 to help Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) take down a metahuman that can control gravity. With most of the team gone, H.R. (Cavanagh) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) are forced to guide the young speedsters from S.T.A.R. Labs.

The episode is the first installment of the Gorilla Grodd two-parter. It is directed by Dermott Downs from the story by Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Aaron Helbing and David Kob.

“The Flash” Season 3, episode 13, titled “Attack on Gorilla City,” airs on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW. Watch the extended trailer below:
