“The Magicians” star Anne Dudek has landed a recurring role in Season 3 of “The Flash.”

TVLine reported that Dudek will appear in multiple episodes of the current season as Tracy Brand, a character from the future described as “a smorgasbord of quirky idiosyncrasies.” Concealing any hint of the greatness that people will celebrate her for in the future, Tracy will embark on a journey to discover the genius she’s destined to become one day.

Dudek, whose other notable TV credits include “Mad Men,” “Covert Affairs” and “House,” confirmed her casting on “The Flash” in a tweet, expressing her excitement about her new role.

Dudek is set to make her debut appearance as Tracy in Season 2, episode 20 — the episode that follows the installment which finds Barry (Grant Gustin) traveling to the future.

At the “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl” and “Legends of Tomorrow” panel at PaleyFest last weekend, executive Andrew Kreisberg revealed that Barry will subsequently go to the future in episode 19 in order to gain more information about Savitar. “Barry decides that the only way he can find out what he needs to know is in the future,” Kreisberg said (via Entertainment Weekly) of the Scarlet Speedster’s reason for doing another risky time travel.

The title for Season 3, episode 19, “The Once and Future Flash,” is also the title of the 79th issue of “The Flash” comic book released by DC Comics in August 1993.

In addition to her new recurring gig on “The Flash,” Dudek also stars in the upcoming thriller film “House by the Lake.” She’s also part of the cast of Comedy Central’s upcoming comedy workplace series “Corporate,” which follows two junior executives-in-training who are forced to do the dirty work of the higher-ups at one of the world’s largest corporations, Hampton DeVille.

“The Flash” airs every Tuesday at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
