Grant Gustin as The Flash
“Green Arrow” comic book villain Hyrax is coming to Central City in Season 4 of CW’s “The Flash.” The CW

Another DC Comics villain is making her way to TV.

According to That Hashtag Show, Veronica Dale, aka Hyrax, is set to appear in Season 4 of CW’s “The Flash.” Based on the character breakdown obtained by the website, Veronica is an environmental activist-turned-animal liberator-turned domestic terrorist. She’s the leader of the Eden Corps — a cult-like organization that proposes to turn back the clock to a pre-industrial age.

While there have been no reports yet on who will play the character, the website reported that the “large principal” classification of the role indicates that the writers have big plans for her.

In the comics, Hyrax’s organization was covertly infiltrated by the Green Arrow. Although she developed feelings for Oliver Queen, that didn’t stop her from trying to cleanse the Earth of toxic human influence by using a bomb called Mutajek 9-9. Created by Chuck Dixon and Jim Aparo, Hyrax first appeared in “Green Arrow Vol. 2 #97” in June 1995.

“The Flash” returns from hiatus next week with the start of Barry’s (Grant Gustin) trial for the murder of DeVoe (Neil Sandilands/ Kendrick Sampson).

At the end of last episode, Barry found DeVoe’s lifeless body in his and Iris’ (Candice Patton) apartment. Although Barry knew right off the bat that he’s being framed for a murder he didn’t commit, the Scarlett Speedster decided not to run from the police after realizing that he needed to cooperate with the law so he wouldn’t bring his wife down with him. But will Iris and the rest of Team Flash accept his bold decision?

According to the synopsis for Season 4, episode 10, Iris and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) must decide how far they are willing to go to keep Barry out of prison. And as seen in the trailer for the episode, Joe is willing to go against the law to clear Barry’s name.

In the 30-second clip, Joe and Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) are at the doorstep of DeVoe’s house when the private investigator asks the police detective, “You’re gonna plant evidence?”

“It’s the right thing to do, Ralph,” Joe replies. “Just open the door I’ll do the rest.”

“The Flash” Season 4, episode 10, titled “The Trial of the Flash,” airs on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
