Danny Trejo will be back in Season 4 of “The Flash.”

After making his debut appearance as Breacher in the last episode of the CW series, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed to The Hollywood Reporter and other news outlets that the “Machete’ actor will return for another episode later this season.

“We’re working on that right now — what the next iteration of that plan is,” said Kreisberg, before revealing that Breacher’s next appearance may not involve his daughter Gypsy (Jessica Camacho). “[Because Camacho is currently filming Season 2 of NBC’s ‘Taken’ that] somewhat limits our ability to have her be in more episodes. [So] right now, we’re working on a Cisco-Breacher story that doesn’t involve Gypsy. Cisco and Breacher are going to have a classic buddy movie [storyline]. Enemies become friends and friends become enemies.”

Despite Camacho’s series regular status on “Taken,” Camacho’s Gypsy will return in episode 9 of the season. Kreisberg also assured Cisco and Gypsy shippers that the relationship between the two “is steady and moving well.”

During the same press conference, Trejo revealed that his decision to take on the role of Breacher was a no-brainer. “[It’s] one of the most popular shows on TV so I immediately said yeah,” the 73-year-old actor said. “It would be dumb to say no. I really enjoyed the whole [experience]. The show, the cast is unbelievable. It’s like a big family up there.”

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly last month, Kreisberg revealed that they initially thought there’s no way Trejo would accept and do the part of Breacher. “We were in the [writers’] room and we were like, ‘Who could we get [to play Breacher]?’ and someone said Danny Trejo,” the exec producer recalled. “We all started laughing like, ‘He’d be great, but of course Danny Trejo’s not going to do this.’ But as I’ve discovered over these past few years, if you don’t ask, you don’t get it. So we reached out to him and his people, and it turned out he was a fan, and he was eager to do it, and he loved the character.”

“The Flash” Season 4 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
