It looks like Danny Trejo’s upcoming appearance on “The Flash” won’t disappoint.

In a recent interview with Collider, executive producer Todd Helbing said that Trejo’s appearance as Breacher in Season 4, episode 4 of the CW series is one of his “favorite things” that they’ve ever done on the show.

“His comic chops are so great,” Helbing said of the “Machete” actor’s performance in the episode. “There’s [also] one classic shot with him that I can’t get into. But that you’ll know when you see it because it’s classic Danny Trejo.”

“I’ve gotta be honest, it was crazy being on set with him,” Helbing said when asked what it’s like to have Trejo in Vancouver. “I’ve been such a fan, for so long.”

As previously reported, Breacher is a feared bounty hunter from Earth-19 who prevents any inter-dimensional traveler from threatening life on his planet — especially the life of his daughter Gypsy (Jessica Camacho), who is now in a relationship with Cisco (Carlos Valdes).

“They’ve been dating for eight months now, but I don’t think Breacher enjoys anybody dating his daughter, much less Cisco,” Helbing said. “That creates a little bit of tension between the two.”

“We just thought it would be a great episode,” Helbing’s fellow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said of Trejo’s debut installment in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “Gypsy and Jessica, they’re so tough and so strong. [So] we’re like, ‘Obviously she came from somebody strong,’ and we just thought it would be a hilarious idea for Cisco, who’s managed to melt Gypsy’s heart, being unable to do the same with her father.”

“I feel like we wrote [Trejo’s Breacher] a great script,” Kreisberg continued. “His character and his storyline with Cisco and Gypsy, it’s part of this slight redirection of the series this year — it’s just doing much more fun stories and much more just out and out hilarious things to match Barry’s (Grant Gustin) newfound optimism and lightness.”
