Bill Goldberg has landed a guest-starring role in Season 4 of “The Flash.”

TVLine confirmed that the WWE wrestler known for his ring name Goldberg will guest-star in two episodes of the CW series. Details on his role are being kept under wraps.

Goldberg’s upcoming appearance on the Grant Gustin-led series was first announced by the Instagram page World of Flash. A fan took to Twitter to ask Goldberg if the report was true, and the former professional football player confirmed the news.

Goldberg currently recurs as Coach Nick on the ABC sitcom “The Goldbergs.” His other TV acting credits include NBC’s “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and UPN’s “Love Boat: The Next Wave.” Aside from his stint on “The Flash,” Goldberg will also be seen next in the rom-com flick “Holly, Jingles and Clyde 3D” and the drama film “Con Man.”

Goldberg will be the second WWE wrestler to appear on “The Flash” and the fourth overall to appear in the Arrowverse. WWE Hall of Famer Adam Copeland, aka Edge, appeared as Earth-2 metahuman Atom-Smasher in the Season 2 premiere of “The Flash.” WWE Divas champion Eve Torres guest-starred as Queen of Almerac, Maxima, in Season 1, episode 19 of “Supergirl.” Cody Rhodes also had a two-episode stint in Season 5 of “Arrow,” in which he appeared as the former crime boss Derek Sampson who teamed up with Team Prometheus to take down the Green Arrow (Stephen Amell).

The confirmation of Goldberg’s appearance on “The Flash” comes a couple of days after it was announced that Kendrick Sampson will also recur this season. According to Deadline, the “How to Get Away with Murder” alum will appear in multiple episodes as Dominic Lanse, aka Brainstorm. Dominic is an affable Transportation Security Administration agent who becomes the unwitting recipient of metahuman powers which allow him to read people’s thoughts, whether he wants to or not.

Sampson’s Dominic is set to make his debut in Season 4, episode 9 — the show’s midseason finale airing on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
